Wacky Brain Wednesday...plus a Giveaway!!!

1. I am currently obsessed with this picture of my kiddo...I know she is mine I should be but there is something about this one. I think it is the sheer joy you can see in her face and eyes. I love when a someones eyes say so much about them!

2. I can't really seem to get into the whole Christmas shopping spirit this year...like at all. If you are one of my family members and end up with the most random present in history please accept my apology. 

3. My sisters-in-law or is it sister-in-laws? Anyway both of the Hubs sister and I plus my MIL and Charlot are going to do one of the paint a canvas things on Saturday. I am a bit nervous, number one because I will have Charlot with me, will I actually get to paint? Number two my creative skills sometimes shut off and will not function! Have any of you guys done this? What should I be warned of?

4. My lips are crazy chapped this time of year...well pretty much from October through March, then add July because of so much sun. Anyway I have found that Chap Stick has a cake batter flavored stick and man alive do I love it! It is quickly becoming a need. 

5. I am overwhelmed by the fact that people actually read my blog, ha! Frankly because I a lot nutty. But seriously though it is such a crazy feeling that people really want to see what we have going on in our lives! This leads me into my big giveaway announcement!!! I have hit 50,000 pageviews!!! Mid-Week Randomness

 1. Oh mercy me it is seriously so very cold outside, I don’t think I have felt my toes in nearly a week. I understand we are moving towards winter I live in the mid-west this is kind of what happens. But for real I wasn’t prepared for this, one day I was running outside and the next I was reaching for my cuddle duds, hats, gloves, and every blanket in site. Speaking of hats check the new one I purchased last weekend. Little known fact about me I love hats, ok so maybe not so little known. You will not see me in the winter without a hat on! This one just spoke to me. The hubs said if it makes you happy, my dad asked if I bought in from 1972. They truly are my most supportive people.

2. I know I say this each and every year but does it seem like we are skipping over Thanksgiving even more this year. All I hear people talk about is Christmas, which I love, but Thanksgiving is my favorite! Even I have already starting preparing for Christmas, this is not normal! Anyone else feel this way?

3. Here are a few photos I had on my phone today my child and the hubs are absolutely the biggest goofballs when they are together. And the second picture, she loves our local grocery store! She loves everything about it begs me to just go there instead of any other store! So here she was shopping the other night.

4. We are headed to see a friend with a new baby today, I am so excited. We shall see how this goes with Charlot, she isn't much of a baby person. She even told me after having lunch with a friend a couple of weeks ago, who has a 15 month old, that that baby touched her and she didn't like that. I’ll just go ahead and apologize to the Monnig family now.

Mid-week Randoms

Sorry this post is going up so late but it was a little crazy today!

Does Pintrest suck anyone else in at the most random times. I can go for several days without browsing then one minute I go to look for one recipe and an hour later I can't stop pinning things.

Speaking of the lovely Pintrest, I pin tons of recipes and rarely do I actually make them. I have plans to I really really do!!!!

Here are two that I actually have made and the turned out pretty darn good. 

7 Layer Dip! Link here

This was SO good!! 4-6 raw chicken breasts new potatoes green beans (fresh or canned-really any green veggie would work. Broccoli is good too). Arrange in 9x13 dish. Sprinkle with a packet of Italian dressing mix and then top with a melted stick of butter. Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

Charlot is on a "date" tonight with her uncle Zach. They went to the movies to see Mr. Peabody and Sherman. This is their first time out and about together should be fun!!!

I am really addicted to the show Castle. I love the mystery side, but it has a really funn side as well. I have been watching it for several seasons but this one is really good. What show/shows are you currently watching?

Tomorrow Charlot is going to the dentist for her first teeth cleaning. I am quite nervous that this could be miserable....

Well I am now going to enjoy the quiet evening at home with the hubs!!!
