Wonderful Fall Weekend!

Shoot it has been busy around our house! This past weekend was no different but was full of fun! On Friday my Grandma had the honor of riding in the Missouri State Corn Husking Parade because she is the guest artist in the local quilt show. She is an amazingly talented quilter. So of course we all had to go out and support her during the parade, plus what kid doesn’t love a parade! Then Friday night was our local fall festival baby contest, Charlot had a fun time in that. She didn’t win but she will always be the prettiest and sweetest baby in my eyes.

The weekend fun continued with my 10 YEAR CLASS REUNION, wow I am getting old, on Saturday. We had so much fun catching up and letting our kids play together. I am from a small town and only graduated with 29 people so don’t judge how many people showed up, small but mighty!

Saturday night was the annual fall festival parade and my big brother’s FFA chapter ice cream social!

Wow we had a busy few days but boy oh boy were they fun! Enjoy some of the wonderful shots from the fun filled weekend.

Queen Quilter for the Day, Hooray! I think she is so so pretty!!!

Weekend visitors and Apple Dumplings

This weekend we were blessed to have my sister-in-law come to visit with her boyfriend, she is working in Illinois this summer, we haven’t gotten to see her much. I decided to have them over for supper, this was the first time I cooked for her boyfriend and I wanted to make a dessert to impress. I have wanted to try out this apple dumpling recipe for quite a while. And let me tell you this didn’t fail to impress. It was so good! So I know that it isn’t fall and that apple dumplings are typically a fall dish and most of us are relishing in cool and refreshing desserts of summer. But this is a must try I mean MUST. Make it now make it again when apples are in season, make it for your momma, make it for your sister, make it for yourself whatever you do just make it!

We did have a wonderful visit with our guests and we hope to see them again really soon!!!

Here are some other pictures of my super cutie this weekend, she is getting so big and she is so much!

Silverware is quite a challenge but she sure is trying!

Just doing a little art project!!!

Hope everyone has an amazing week!

Supper Delivery

Yummy cookie!!!
I have been working at the same place for the past 6 years for an amazing seed company, only the best Pioneer. Now in that job I have had my fair share of ups and downs, as with any job. But I can truly say that I love my job I love what I do and the people I work with are like a second family. These people have seen me through a lot in my life. I began here when I was fresh out of college barely 22 years old I was a pup. They have watched and supported me through buying my first home, buying my first car, getting engaged, getting married, survived my pregnancy, and welcome my baby girl into their lives.

Trust me it isn’t all smiles and lovelies and I have my fair share of times that I think oh my heavens I don’t know if I can keep doing this. Then there are nights like last night I left here went and picked up Charlot, went and got supper for the crew who were planting. I didn’t have to take Charlot to a different sitter or ask my momma to watch her (who willingly does when I know it is going to be a late night). I just loaded her up and brought her along for the ride, knowing that when we got to the field everyone would be excited to see her. Now that is a nice perk to a job. Oh and Charlot seems to like being at work with momma quite well.

I've got this under control

On a different note I want to wish each and every momma out there a very Happy Mother’s day. A very special wish to my beautiful momma! Who is absolutely hands down the best. She has loved and supported my brother and I through everything. I love you momma and I hope you have the best day ever!

Easter recap way late…

Our Easter weekend was full of family and fun as most our holidays are for us. We had Easter with my MIL’s side of the family on Saturday night, Charlot got to open her Easter basket and found some wonderful goodies. On Sunday we headed to Sunrise service at the church the Hubs was raised in, oh boy that was early especially for Charlot she slept through the whole thing, we then headed to Church service at our church, the little one was a bit more lively for this one. After church my Aunt Sherry had a family dinner at her house that was so delicious, especially my Aunt Charlene’s fried chicken. Charlot was also super excited because her cousin Mia was there. They are such good playmates. They blew bubbles and hunted eggs until they couldn’t take any more. It was such a beautiful weekend full of family and rejoicing in our Lord.
I think she likes her new chair

Checking out one of her Easter baskets

With her Aunties after sun rise service I think the look on her face tells you she felt it was a bit early

Mia showing Charlot how it is done

I think Charlot is catching on

"I've got this egg hunting thing down Dad"

I hope each of you had an great Easter and are having a wonderful week!

Her first documented pig sale…

A few weeks ago Charlot attended her first pig sale with my Dad, momma, brother and I. The hubs was out of town shopping for pigs. So dad and I were in charge of getting the pigs sold (Uncle Zach is slightly out of commission due to an ankle injury, but he was there for moral support and to help when he could). Well to say the minimum I didn’t really document Charlot being at the sale. #1 because I am an airhead and forgot my camera #2 because she spent most the day with wondering around with my momma, I think momma Linda had the toughest job corralling the little one all day.

Any who since I missed that opportunity to capture her first time at a sale I took full advantage of it this weekend when she, the hubs and I went to another.
I didn’t get any pictures of her actually selling the pig she actually slept through that part, oh well maybe next year.
She was just hanging out waiting for the big sale to start, she was letting daddy do all the talking to the potential customers.

All that watching Daddy work is tough on a little one it was time for a snack!

To reward ourselves and to celebrate my up coming birthday we headed out to eat at one of my favorite restaurants Carrabba's after the sale. Charlot was quite a ham during dinner.
I had to snap this picture of the hubs because I know how much he loves to have his picture taken.

Hope everyone has a great week!
