Happy Monday!!!

How could you not have a great day when you wake up to this each morning? I know I know she has some seriously crazy hair, and actually this isn’t the worst. I completely blame her daddy for this hair, because his grows straight out of his head. It appears that she got this natural; oh I pray that as it gets better the longer her hair gets maybe the weight will lay it down. But if not she will have the perfect hair to dress up as Pippi Longstocking, or possibly Einstein…

13 Months…

After a year is it still acceptable to count your babies age in months??? Well I think so because she is still changing so much each and every day. In the past week she has gotten much braver and started taking several steps, even though crawling is still our main mode of transportation. And vocal she is becoming more and more vocal each day. Church yesterday was quite interesting. She really knows what she wants and is pretty good at getting it! Daddy and I are so proud. Check out the pic of her playing the piano, I think she looks like Schroeder off of Charlie Brown (hehehe).  Anyway enjoy my little sweetie!

PW’s Corn Chowder

Yesterday was the official day of LOVE, but was still a little crazy for us. After work Charlot was scheduled for her one year pictures (crying on the inside), my momma was so great and brought her all clean and pretty to the studio for me. The session went great, but still took a while I mean she is one it is going to be a process. I can’t wait to see them I am pretty sure she got some great shots. While Charlot and I were doing this the hubs was taking care of the chores. All of this basically cut out the opportunity for the hubs and I to go to dinner plus it was cold and I just wanted to stay in. So I decide that soup was on the menu. I watched the Pioneer Woman make this delicious soup over the weekend and I couldn’t resist. I tried to fancy it up by serving it in sourdough bread bowls. It is so good, the next time I make it I may add a bit of spicy jalapenos. In the picture all the scraps of bread are not just for me I did share with my daughter, my thighs wanted me clarify that.

Oh and take a look at the beautiful flowers that the hubs sent me yesterday (I love lilies)!

Happy Valentine's Day and Delish

This weekend I received the ultimate compliment that a Blogger can receive, someone told me that they find inspiration in my blog. Oh I was so flattered! But then I began to try and remember when the last time I actually blogged was. OUCH! It has been a while.

So this post is for you K! I hope it inspires you again. By the way I loved your casserole, it was delish!

Last night in a last ditch effort to figure out what I was going to fix for supper I ran to the grocery store for some possible ideas. I came across the Philadelphia Cooking Cream (which I LOVE), and I saw some sirloin steaks on sale. It was a cold and snowy day, so I wanted something warm and comforting Beef Stroganoff it was. This dish is something that you could throw together and put it in the crock pot, or be like me and throw together and stick in the oven while I went to a meeting, then finish when you get home.

Quick Beef Stroganoff

1 ½ lbs beef sirloin (Cut into strips)

1 Onion (Thinly Sliced)

1 Box of Mushrooms (Sliced)

2 TBSP Tomato Paste

2 Cups Beef Broth

1 Container of Philly Original Cooking Cream

½ cup Sour Cream

Salt and Pepper to Taste

Parsley for Garnish

Egg Noodles

Heat some EVOO in a large skillet and brown your mushrooms and onions, once they are close to brown add your beef and brown. Deglaze the pan with your broth; add the tomato paste stir to combine. This is the point you can choose your path. Either allow to simmer on the stove, throw it in the oven, or put it in the crock pot on low and leave for the day. When you get back to it add the Cooking cream and Sour cream. Serve over egg noodles YUMMY!!!!!!

Make this soon!

Oh and Happy Valentine’s Day! Here is a pic of my two Valentine’s!

She looks a bit sleepy in this one.

But total cutie pie in this one.
